## Steps

1. **Open Qantas's password reset page** at https://www.qantas.com/us/en/frequent-flyer/forgotten-pin.html. This is where the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen leads.
2. **Enter the email address on the account.** If you are not sure which address that is, search your inboxes for mail from qantas.com; the inbox holding those messages is the account email.
3. **Enter the verification code** Qantas emails you.
4. **Choose a strong new password.** 16+ random characters, and never one used anywhere else.
5. **Store it somewhere sealed**: a password manager or encrypted vault, not a note and not a screenshot.

## Common problems

- **Temporary PIN must be used to access account before setting permanent PIN.** After requesting a reset, you receive a temporary PIN via email which must be used to log in.
