Password reset guide · Payments
How to reset your PayPal password. Or have it done for you.
The manual steps take a few minutes. Repass does the same flow for you: it requests the reset, follows the email, sets a strong 20-character password, and seals it in your vault.
The manual way
Reset your PayPal password in 5 steps
Open PayPal's sign-in page
Go to paypal.com and open the sign-in screen, then look for “Forgot password?”. Sites also label it “Can't log in?” or “Trouble signing in?”.
Enter the email on the account
Type the email address you use for PayPal. If you're not sure which one, search your inboxes for emails from paypal.com. The inbox that has them is the account email.
Open the reset email
Check the inbox for a message from PayPal and follow its reset link. No email after a few minutes? Check spam, and confirm you typed the address the account actually uses.
Choose a strong new password
Use 16+ random characters, and never one you've used anywhere else. A reused password is how one breach becomes ten.
Store it somewhere sealed
Save the new password in a password manager or encrypted vault: not a note, not a screenshot, not “the usual one with a 2 on the end”.
The Repass way
Or connect Gmail once and stop doing this by hand.
Repass finds every account your email has, PayPal included, and walks each site's forgot-password flow itself, in the background. Passwords are generated and encrypted on your device, and your vault opens when you sign in.
If PayPal asks for a CAPTCHA or a text code, Repass pauses, shows you the page, and asks for that one human step. Then it finishes the rest.

Questions
PayPal password reset FAQ
How long does resetting a PayPal password take?
Usually two to five minutes by hand: request the email, open the link, set the new password. Repass does the same steps for you in the background and seals the result in your vault.
What if the PayPal reset email never arrives?
Check spam, then confirm you entered the address the account actually uses. Most “no email” cases are a reset requested for the wrong address. Searching your inboxes for old emails from paypal.com tells you which account is real.
Can Repass reset my PayPal password for me?
Yes. Connect your Gmail once and Repass walks PayPal's forgot-password flow itself: it requests the reset, reads only its own reset email, sets a strong 20-character password, and seals it in your vault. If PayPal asks for a CAPTCHA or a text code, Repass pauses and asks you for that one step.
Is it safe to let an app reset my PayPal password?
Repass generates and encrypts passwords on your device. Its servers store only ciphertext they cannot open, and the AI that drives the reset is never shown a password, reset link, or verification code. Those stay local.
