## Verified facts

Checked against Lufthansa's own documentation on 2026-08-20. Fields absent below are ones Lufthansa does not document, not ones we assumed.

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Reset starts at | https://lion.app.lufthansa.com/reset-password |
| Reset by email | yes |
| The email contains | a link |

## Steps

1. **Open Lufthansa's password reset page** at https://lion.app.lufthansa.com/reset-password. This is where the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen leads.
2. **Enter the email address on the account.** If you are not sure which address that is, search your inboxes for mail from lufthansa.com; the inbox holding those messages is the account email.
3. **Open the reset email and follow its link.** Links are single-use and short-lived; if nothing arrives in a few minutes, check spam and confirm the address.
4. **Choose a strong new password.** 16+ random characters, and never one used anywhere else.
5. **Store it somewhere sealed**: a password manager or encrypted vault, not a note and not a screenshot.

## Common problems

- **Password requirements enforcement.** Passwords not meeting updated requirements (at least one number, upper and lowercase characters, at least one special character, minimum eight characters) will gradually lose validity and must be replaced. - **OTP verification required for sensitive information updates.** Even when logged in with Travel ID, updating sensitive booking information such as email address, phone number, or frequent traveller number requires OTP verification sent to registered email. ## Doing it automatically

Repass connects to Gmail once, finds the accounts you have, and runs this flow for you in your own browser. Passwords are generated on your device and encrypted before they are stored; Repass also holds a key that can unwrap the vault, so signing in is enough to open it. It pauses and hands over when a site asks for a CAPTCHA or a code.
