## Verified facts

Checked against ESEA's own documentation on 2026-08-20. Fields absent below are ones ESEA does not document, not ones we assumed.

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Reset by email | yes |
| The email contains | a link |

## Steps

1. **Open the sign-in page** at esea.net and choose "Forgot password?". Some sites label this "Can't log in?" or "Trouble signing in?".
2. **Enter the email address on the account.** If you are not sure which address that is, search your inboxes for mail from esea.net; the inbox holding those messages is the account email.
3. **Open the reset email and follow its link.** Links are single-use and short-lived; if nothing arrives in a few minutes, check spam and confirm the address.
4. **Choose a strong new password.** 16+ random characters, and never one used anywhere else.
5. **Store it somewhere sealed**: a password manager or encrypted vault, not a note and not a screenshot.

## Common problems

- **Email address recovery limitation.** If you no longer have access to your email address on file and have lost your password, you must contact support directly and provide proof of ownership of your attached Steam account and evidence of previous ESEA purchases. - **MFA device loss requires extended support process.** If you lose your MFA device, removal will take several days during which the contact information associated with the account will be repeatedly contacted, and you must provide proof of Steam account ownership. - **MFA backup codes must be secured.** Once MFA is enabled, single-use backup codes must be saved and stored securely, as losing the MFA device without these codes means you cannot access your account. (https://support.esea.net/hc/en-us/articles/360008741314)

## Doing it automatically

Repass connects to Gmail once, finds the accounts you have, and runs this flow for you in your own browser. Passwords are generated on your device and encrypted before they are stored; Repass also holds a key that can unwrap the vault, so signing in is enough to open it. It pauses and hands over when a site asks for a CAPTCHA or a code.
