## Steps

1. **Open Binance's password reset page** at https://accounts.binance.com/en/forgot-password/reset. This is where the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen leads.
2. **Enter the email address or phone number on the account.** Binance also accepts the username. If you are not sure which address that is, search your inboxes for mail from binance.com; the inbox holding those messages is the account email.
3. **Enter the verification code** Binance emails you.
4. **Choose a strong new password.** 16+ random characters, and never one used anywhere else.
5. **Store it somewhere sealed**: a password manager or encrypted vault, not a note and not a screenshot.

## Common problems
